For as long as I can remember I have always been interested in art. Whether it be drawing, architecture, jewelry, print or photography, it’s always been my favorite way to spend time.
Formally trained as a Graphic Designer at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, I have also studied, typography, jewelry design, photography, architecture and various forms of print.

Working with wood is also a passion of mine, as is being involved in and with nature. I consider myself an “outdoor” person…..can’t stand to be caught inside for extended periods of time…nothing better than a long walk in the woods.
It is with my graphic design background and interest in working with wood that I began making the connection between the two. I started with 3-D signage, small boxes and smaller furniture. Today I continue with these and have expanding to making more artistic one of a kind pieces in all sizes and shapes.

I work primarily in hardwoods, much of which has been recycled and milled locally. Whenever possible I use mortise and tenon joinery. My goal is to create strong beautiful one of a kind pieces that will last a lifetime.
